Go Mam Go by Violette St. Jean

He got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left
for Egypt. Matt 2:14 (NIV)

One day I was telling my cousin, Josiane, about how much I suffered
because I have never done what the Lord asked me to do for my
family’s sake, nor for the sake of the gospel.

So after she heard that, she said, “I can imagine if you were Joseph,
we would never have a redeemer today.”

Then I said to her, “What do you mean?”

She replied, “I mean, if Joseph had to call Mary to get a consent from
her, wait a few days to pray, and ask God to make it clear before he
leaves, King Herod would have had plenty of time to kill our redeemer.”

Her comment really opened my eyes to many heroes of the Bible that
God called. Because they did not have a second thought about His
call, their obedience saved many lives, and sometimes lots of chaos
in the world.
Lord Jesus, I pray that I would have an obedient heart like Joseph
so whenever I receive a message from you that I may be able
to follow or respond with no doubt or delay. Amen.
