Prayer Watch by Louis Vivenzio

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us
that we should be called children of God. 1 John 3:1 (NKJV)

In 2009 our 20-year-old son, Mitch, had a very serious motto cross
accident. My wife, Dede, and I were driving from New Mexico to San
Antonio when we received a call from our friend, Dr. Adkins. She was
at the hospital. Mitch was getting prepped for surgery. She knew we
would want to pray with him.

Just as we finished praying, we lost the signal. It was 45 minutes before
we could get another connection. We were 6 1/2 hours away and all
we could do was pray. When we arrived at the hospital Mitch was still
in surgery. That’s when we knew how serious his condition was.

Mitch was in the hospital 2 1/2 months. Dede, myself, and our older
son, Trece, were with him from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m., every day. Mitch had
7 surgeries in 8 months, our faith was tested. A couple of times the doctors
told us Mitch may not make it. Those words felt like someone was
ripping our hearts out. We continued to pray and anoint Mitch with oil
each day.

Now, as we prepare to spend Christmas with a healthy Mitch and his
wonderful Christian wife, Amanda, we thank God for all the family and
friends that were praying for Mitch and our family.
Behold, All Glory to God.

Prayer
Thank you, Father, for faithful, prayerful friends. Amen
