Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have,
that no one may take your crown. Revelation 3:11 (NIV)
After Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, He went up to
Heaven in a cloud. The disciples stood, amazed at what they saw.
Then two men dressed in white appeared, asking why they stood
there looking up in the sky. Because, “this same Jesus, who has been
taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you
saw him go into heaven” (Acts 1:10).
That’s exactly what is going to happen!
So, our responsibility is to get ready. Not packing a suitcase ready,
but getting our hearts ready. Christmas is the perfect time to
celebrate life and live like we are dying. No one knows for sure when
Jesus is coming back, but we know it will be soon and quick. Now,
God does not want us to worry about Jesus’ coming. God is not the
author of confusion and strife. He leaves us with His peace. We
should love and serve Him and others and keep our hearts pure by
asking for forgiveness when we mess up. Jesus loves us and wants us
to be with him forever in Heaven.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I have accepted you as my Lord and Savior and I want to
be with you eternally. Help me to live my life as if you were coming
today. Thank you for loving me and bringing me peace. Amen.
